When We Can Come

How do I book?

Call (02) 9134 9097 and describe the problem. We'll find you a slot, usually the same day, and let you know exactly when to expect us.

Are you really open 24 hours?

Genuinely, yes. Whoever calls, whatever the hour, gets a live person on the line rather than a recorded message. A 3am call is treated no differently to one at lunchtime.

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

We do. A blocked drain never waits for a weekday, so Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays run exactly the same as any other day on the roster.

What counts as a drain emergency?

Wastewater rising back into the house, a toilet that flat-out won't clear, or water pooling around outdoor gully traps all need urgent attention. A slow-draining sink can generally wait for a scheduled visit, but ring anyway if you're not sure which category you're in.

What It Costs to Get It Flowing

What does "best price guaranteed" actually mean?

Before anyone lifts a tool, you've got a fixed price in hand that we commit to honouring. Nothing gets tacked on partway through, and we back that price as fair for the work involved.

Do you charge a call-out fee?

There's no fee simply for having us come out and look. What you're charged covers the actual repair, never the visit on its own.

How does your pricing work for drain jobs?

We assess the blockage, quote a fixed price before starting, and that's the figure on the invoice regardless of how the job unfolds. Depth, access around the property and the nature of the blockage all shape what that quote looks like.

How do I pay?

You settle up after the work's finished and you've had a look yourself. Payment options get explained on the day, whatever suits you best.

The Stanmore Drain Picture

Montague Gardens sits inside one of Stanmore's older residential pockets, exactly the kind of Federation-era streetscape where the original drainage underneath rarely gets a second thought until it stops working.

Come autumn, leaf fall off the suburb's street trees piles into gutters and stormwater grates just as the wetter weather sets in, which only adds to the load.

What suburbs do you service?

Alongside Stanmore itself, the run covers Petersham, Newtown, Camperdown, Lewisham and Annandale.

Why does my drain block again after heavy rain?

The shale clay soil under Stanmore doesn't drain well to begin with, which puts extra strain on the suburb's older combined stormwater and sewer pipework once a downpour hits. When that system reaches capacity, the water backs up and surfaces wherever there's a low point to escape through.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

Generally speaking, everything on your side of the connection to the main is your responsibility as the property owner. Sydney Water takes over from that connection point outward. Treat this as general guidance rather than legal advice, and confirm directly with Sydney Water if there's any doubt.

How local are you, really?

These streets are on our regular circuit, not somewhere we occasionally drive out to. That familiarity with the housing and drainage here is part of what makes a callout quicker to sort.

Can I clear a blocked drain myself?

Giving a plunger a single go on one slow fixture is reasonable enough. Steer clear of chemical drain cleaners and hired eels on older pipework though, since they tend to cause more damage than they fix, and a blockage that returns generally points to something a licensed plumber needs to diagnose properly.

What does the lifetime labour warranty cover?

It covers the workmanship on the job for as long as you're living in the property. Should the repair not hold up over time, we return and correct it without billing you again.

Are you licensed and insured?

We are. NSW Plumbing Licence #292427C covers the work, and full insurance sits behind both the water and gas sides of the trade. Feel free to look the licence up yourself.

How experienced are you with drains?

The team brings 15+ years' experience to Sydney drainage work, everything from the earthenware and clay pipe common in suburbs like Stanmore through to newer plumbing systems.
